AND RECREATION CO REHENSIVE TRAILS STJB-COMMITTEE MARCH 30, 1981 6:30 p.m. Jeff Cramer, S eve Storlie and Park Director Steve Michaud, .met in the Council Cha ers to .review the Comprehensive Trail Plan. The. meeting co ssted of reviewing the existing comprehensive plan to determine a dtions and subtractions-based on current county and state trail pla s. The sub-commit ee added and subtracted various state and county trails.. The propos d railroad abandonment trail was also removed as a main corridor but designated as a future trail to serve transportation going west along Co ty Road #64. The designated trail along Orchard Trail was removed and the trail along 185th Street as extended through to Minnreg Road. The remainder of the existing plan will remain as printed. There was considerable discussion with respects to the proposed trail from downtown Lakeville to Antlers Park and then on to the Lake- ville High School. Three potential alternatives were mentioned: 1. .Follow 207th St. from the Lakeville Post Office to Dodd Blvd. Follow what used to be the railroad. property and thehnorth into Antlers Park. From Antlers, follow Italy to 199th St., turn west into Warweg's new plat, next to the High School. 2. Starting from Dodd Blvd. and 207th St., head .north along Dodd to the proposed new intersection around the Cenex station to Co. Rd. #64, to Antler's Park and on to the High School... 3. Starting at 207th St, and Dodd, go north along Dodd to Hwy. 50, continue north on #50 to a spur route into Antlers, the trail would also continue along #50 up to the high school.
