HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-07 CITY OF LAKEVILLE PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING MUNICIPAL BUILDING AIRLAKE MARCH 7, 1979 7 :30 P.M. Roll call Present were Storlie, Rice, Lovelace, Cramer. Absent were Smith and Trued. Pastor Trued will be absent for the next three weeks for Lenten services. Also present were Councilman Bob Nelson and Bud'Alich, Park Maintenance Superintendent. 79 -14 Motion to approve the February 22, 1979 committee minutes by Storlie. Seconded by Rice. Motion passed. Park Directors Report: Bud Alich filled in for Steve Michaud, who was absent due to an accident. It was suggested that a special meeting on the bike trails to be held next Wednesday, March 14th: This will be a work session. Mr. Bob Nelson mentioned that the City Council has a -few applications` to possibly fill the position of a new member on the Park Recreation committee.' Bud also mentioned of the approval by the Council the purchase of a new Groundsmaster mower and trailer. This is a complete unit to be used for twelve months. Bud mentioned that the committee members should be thinking of summer programs that could be adopted into our total programming. Annual vandalism reports were given to each member for review and future discussion. Bud mentioned that the maintenance men were presently constructing picnic tables and a new raft for Antlers Park. They will also be servicing and repairing equipment until spring. Comprehensive Plan Review: All that remains for the Park Recreation Department is to come up with our bike trail systems.' A sidggestion was made for the committee to discuss fully the topics regarding the biRe trails in our next ,scheduled meeting on March 21, 1979. 79 -15 Motion was made by Rice to table discussion on the Comprehensive Plan review and finalization on the bike trails to be discussed at our work session meeting and to be brought up again in our next meeting to approve our plan with committee approval after a review of the Bike Trail Plan. Seconded by Storlie. Motion passed. 79 -16 Motion made by Storlie to adjourn. Seconded by Rice. Motion passed.
