HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-17 PARR RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING REPORT
WEDNESDAY 8:00 PM 17 AUGUST 1977
MUNICIPAL BUILDING AIRT.AKE INDUSTRIAL PARK
Park Ree members present were Enright, Christoffers, and new member, Steve Storlie.
New secretary, Barb Perkins, was also on hand, and Terri Farrell came somewhat later.
Park Director Steve Michaud was present.
N. Enright explained that Rev. Trued was on vacation, _Mrs. Lange was ill, and Mr. Nelson
had a prior committment. "Due to the lack of a quorum" she said, "we are having a brief
informational meeting. Minutes of the August 3rd meeting will be approved next time."
Enright reported on the Council meeting she had attended.
S. Michaud said the budget would go to Council next week, it is believed. The reason
why Item No. 600 has jumped from $13 thousand to $30 thousand is because it not only
includes Park Director's salary, but 10% of Bud Alich's, plus both Barb and Terri,
for one year. "Itemized breakdown and accumulative figures will be prepared by neat
time", according to Steve.
Agenda items for next time will be: (1) total review of budget, (2) neighborhood
meetings, (3) park assignments for Committee members, (4) decide what to do with monies
left in 1977 budget, and (5) revenue sharing ideas.
N. Enright asked about what could be done with condition of Wayside Parka Steve said
there would be three inches of black dirt put here, and seeded. it will be done soon,
perhaps next week.
It was thought that bike trails could be partly funded with revenue sharing money.
Dee will not be able to attend any more meetings- -they are moving to Chicago area.
Everyone spoke of being sad that Dee Christoffers is leaving.
The Chairman closed the meeting.
Respectfully submitted,
::D. Christoffers, Secretary mek
