WEDNESDAY JUNE 15 1977
Meeting was called to order at B)DO F.M. Answering roll call
were Trued, Lovelace, Enright, Nelson, Lange.
77.37 Motion by Nelson, seconded by Trued to approve the minutes of the
June I Meeting. Motion Carried.
Lange reported the City Council had the first reading of the Park
Dedication Ordinance.
77.38 Motion by Nelson to recommend the name of the Lake in
Valley Park be Valley Lake Park. Enright Seconded.
Trued abstain, AaAswering yes were Lovelace, Lange, Nelson Enright.
Trued abstained because he proposed Stoebridge and the motion does
not meet council's suggestion._ Nelson commented we have had input
from citizens in. the area.,.
Dennis Feiler explained the bonding capacity of the city. Lakeville
has a #37,0000000 assessed. valuation. 6 2/3 of this is ►2,OOO
which is Lakeville's net debt limit. Lakeville now has a net debt
of 305,000 which includes the fire station partial payment of
Ritter Park.
$9,000 is in the Park .development Fund, and this can be spent of pro-
jests not federally funded. The city budget can only increase 6 a
year
The committee discusesed the park tour. Enright would like to see
bigger name tags at the next tour, Enright will egntact chair-
persons of the other committees for feedback on thetour,

Pine tree was cut dawn at Fairfield Park, and will not be replaced.
The :cools are running, heaters do not work. The Hunker Hill boiler
is worn out, cost of new one 41,000 At Pa,rkview some parts are not
functioning, and they are possibly obsolete.
175 childred' are enrolled in swimm. lessons.
Steve Iii chaud will prepare a bi- monthly report on revenues in July.
Steve will meet with architect June 16 on.the Matler's park Project.
The grant does not cover underground wiring in the park, this might
come to $6
There are three new baseball fields at JFE 2 at Orchard Lake 2
at new High school.
Summer concets will be held at Heller Park in Downtown Lakeville,
Lakeside Park at Orchard Lake has been left a mess by the construction
in the area last summer. .Steve is to contact Rosene about cleaning
this up.
Trued discussed parental responsibility ordinance. This holds
parents responsible for child's committing a crime. Farmington has
adapted this ordinance. Farmington has had a 11:00 pm curfew
ordinance for the last three years. Last year Farmington had 225
separate vandalism incidents..

Trued would like to see us develop a broad approach to vandalism,
Parental responsibility, curfew, evaluate the lighting in the parks,
and continue the educational program, and a citizen alert flyer in
Valley Park.
Lakeville now has a 11 :00 PK curfew in the city parks
