Enright, Lange, Christoffers, and Lovelace answered roll when Chair. N.
Enright called the meeting to order at 8 00 PM. Nelson had called earlier to
explain he would be out of town; Trued will be occupied with church activities
at this time.
77.14 The minutes of the meeting held Feb. 16th were approved upon motion of
Lange and Christoffers. Motion carried.
It was decided to place'the matter of adoption of Park Dedication Ordinance on
the agenda for meeting to be held 16 March.
S. Michaud began his Park Director's report. It concerned fishing bridge,
CETA program people for next season, bike trails' report, review of swimming
pool fees and schedules.
FISHING BRIDGE stationary and floating docks each have disadvantages, such as
breakage, vandalism, maintaining, and upkeep. It is proposed to build a walkway
instead, from the parking lot to the fishing area. I will be build, possibly, of
rocks, (rip rap), and "earth, wth a 3% slope. DNR would come to take borings
here to see how deep the muck is at this point.
CETA PROGRA14- -there will be more people offered this year. Steve is proposing five
slots under Title 6; one of these will run up to a year's time.
BIKE TRAILS PROJECT-- Jenice Lange will attend to the maps that are to be copied.
N. Enright isgoing to investigate the status of the easements with Mayor Mako and
attorney P. Farrell, The report will be given in more detail next meeting, April 6tr..
.VL. aiING POOLS -a review of proposed swimming pool fees and schedules wasmade by
Steve Michaud. (A copy of these is filed with these minutes.) D. Christoffers
made the suggestion that pools do not open as early as 10 JK- or, at least,
until later in the summer when the weather is warmer. Steve is suggesting a
change in individual memberships from $10 to $12. Badges may be more satisfactory
than the card system. $2,300 had been collected in family memberships last season.
The season this year is proposed to begin either June 6th or the 15th, and run to
the end of August.
77.15 Motion was made by Lange and Lovelace to recommend approval of the
Park Director's report on pool operation for 1977. Motion carried.
PROJECT VANDALI,%- -the neat presentation will be at Parkview School, Tues.
March 15th, at 9 Vii.
There will be a detailed softball policy development report given the first
meeting in ;April.
Guide lines for renting of Lakeville parks will also be discussed in more
detail next tme.
77.16 Christoffers and Lange motioned to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
