HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-07 LAKEVILLE PARK RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES WEDNESDAY APRIL 7, 1)76 MUNICIPAL EU ILDING AIRLAKE INDUSTRIAL PARK Meeting was called to order at 7;50 PM by N. Enright. Answering roll call were; Enright, Lange, Lovelace, and Lamont. Park Director S. Michaud also present. 76.19 Approval of minutes of meeting held March 17th was asked byLamont- Lange. Motion carried. Reviewal of Council meeting minutes of March 15th was made. L. Nelson arrived. Boy Scout Greg Wagnev.�o accompanied by his father, Jerry, explained a proposal for landscaping the monument and Ilagpole at Aronson Park. Greg is working towards Eagle Scout achievement and wishes to use this as his project. Approximate cost of materials would be $75. 76.20 Nelson made motion to recommend approval of Aronson Park monument landscaping with the substitution of wood chips in lieu of crushed rock and patio blocks for stepping stones, instead of wood blocks. Enright 2nd. Nelson amended his motion to add, flat a cost not to exceed $75.00. Enright 2nd this amendment. Motion, with the amendment, carried. Park Director Michaud gave his report. It concerned; (l) trail system at Ritter Farm Park had been approved by Council at their meeting April 5th, (2) park maintenance is going smoothly and is ahead of schedule, (3) a mini -ous is a possibility for the first meeting in May to tour Lakeville parks by the Committee, (4) music concerts have been lined up for this summer, (5) a youth activities program has been set -up- -Mon., Wed., and Fri. at Antlers Park, and Tues. and Thurs. at Valley Park, (6) trig to Valley Fair, Jonathon Paddleford trip, and rollerskating, with supervision, are being planned, (7) Valley Park pools are now City of Lakeville's, (8) first reading of lake zoning has oeen made. Lake Marion will have the plan expedited first, then Orchard Lake, (9) the house at Orchard Lake on park land is to be torn down, (10) mention of possibility of burning rings at Ritter Farm Park. J. Lange gave a report on Planning Commission meeting she had attended to report on bike trails. 76.21 Motion to adjourn.this meeting at 10;20 PM, by Lamont -Lange. Motion carried.
