HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-12 LAKEVILLE PARK RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 12, 1975 MUNICIPAL BUILDING AiRLAKE INDUSTRIAL, PARK Present: Chairman L. Nelson,and J. Lange, C. Trued- -not: a quorum, no meeting held. "Discussion revolved around the following subjects, (1) There will be a snowmobile tril in Ritter Farm Park, same as previous year. (2) Park Rec Director S. Michaud reported that the City is undertaking a comprehensive plan and that 'parks' may be a part of their over all plan. (3) S. Michaud gave a report on what is planned for his hockey program in the parks; the hours are now planned, ice clearing program is made clear, attendants responsibilities have been outlined. Rev. Trued spoke of sae volunteer additional help that has been offered. (4) Chairman Nelson said that the last P R Committee action regarding Dakota Heights 7th Addition had been a denial by this Committee of accepting land, in its present state, as park dedication. J. Lange mentioned that what had been proposed in the past for park dedication, did not include the Outlots. (5) S. Michaud spoke of $2,000 -ski grant that has been received, to be used towards expense of making cross country ski trails in Ritter Farm; snowmobilers are receiving free signs for their trails and also, money. (6) Fishing bridge property area has now changed ownership. Much of what had been done on this project will now have to be re -done. (7) A pleasure- skating rink on Dodd Boulevard at Valley Park has been requested. C. Trued is asked to research this matter and come back with a recommendation. (8) Minnesota Parks Conference will be held in Rochester on the 3 -4-5 of December. mek
