The P A Oommittee has recognized it needs the, of professionals
in the park planning field in putting together the long- rac'iga, 3 -year program.
Towards this end -to become more acquainted with their work -three planning
time sent representatives to this meeting. They were Mr. Howard Dahigren of
Midwest Planners, Mr.. Bailey A: .Semis of HArry S. Johnson Associates, and Mr.
,Paul ffare and Mr. J• Stapt of Brauer and Associ:stes.
Mr. Dahlgren explained that Midwest Planners had been the firm that
helped Jaakkeville get off the ground with Its planned zoning -and had made the
park and open apace study for Lakeville in June 1970• He had interrupted his
vacation to attend this meeting. Midwest Planners does its work,throughout. the
whole ith,Federal District, which comprises some six or seven sttatea. He made

Mr. Saida, Harry S. Johnson Associates, explained how aerial photography
plays each an important role in their plan of identifying natural, beauties that
might otherwise be lost. lie made the statement that "park facilities should be
for all ages of people lie said his firm has helped plan environmental educational
study centers. The Japanese Bush Gardens in Bloomington Is part of his firm's work;
He- asked that member-0 outline specifically what is needed and what they are trying
to doe and they would like to help, with all problems.

above eleven rules for Ritter Farm Park. Motion carried.
K. Erickson presented a map she had prepared to plan bike trails from Nold'l
V#a.laRs to AnUers Park -„usiag sower easements primarily.
P. Martin and J. gobinette ere to be`a0ked for their budget reoonmendations.
Steve Johnson and aifton Aichinger are to be put on the agenda for July
24th meeting at 800 P M.
