August 1, 1973
Meeting was called to order at 8:30 P.M.
Members present: J. Robinette, W. Makos, J. Hrkal, L. Austad,
L. Nelson, H. Lovelace.
Austad reported that park maintenace is still mowing private
property of Gephart's adjacent to warehouse. Motion by Robinette,
seconded by Hrkal to terminate mowing of Gephart's property adjacent
to warehouse. Motion carried. Supervisor was notified at the meeting.
Mr. Alich reported playground equipment will be installed within a
week at Oak Shores.
General discussion of the seemingly excess time spent in our mowing
operations in the parks. There seems to be both a lack of speed and
the absence of a mowing schedule.Supervisor, was instructed to look
into this.
It was noted that Pan- O -Prog had caused some damage in Aronson Park.
Their were numerous holes dug by people looking for the medallion.
100 feet of rail -fence installed at Ritter Park. Brush cleared from
picni.c.area ands ed. Parking lot needs more fill.
Sign for Ritter Park discussed, J. Robinette to follow up on
specifications for proper sign. Name for park to be discussed at
next meeting:_
9:00 P.M. work session for budget began. Mr. Alich requested to
develop estimates on mowing hours, maintenance of fields and grass.
He also is to develop accurate figures for gas and oil needs.
Budget 90% completed. Final meeting for budget will be held at
8:00 P.M. August 8, 1973.
Mr. Alich reported that in order to tear down the old building on
Orchard beach he must refer to the plumbing inspector to obtain
total cost to keep the well and add a new well house.
Meeting adjourned at 11 :15 P.M.
