The meeting was called to order by Herb Lambert.
Members present: Lovelace, Johnson, Lambert, Bresnahan, Erickson.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
1. Orchard Lake residents were present to express the need for better
park policing, as parties are completly out of hand.
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Bresnahan to refer park ordinance
back to committee to confer with county ordinance and report back
to Park Recreation Committee. Motion carried.
2. Motion by Lambert, seconded by Bresnahan to name 70 acre park
"Aronson Municipal Park Motion carried.
Motion by Lambert, seconded by Erickson to accept the following
names for parks. As new parks are added names will be submitted
at that time.
1. 209th St. Holt Ave Maplewt Park"
2. 208th St. Holiday Ave "Terrace "Park"
3. 208'th-St. Hershey Ave Hershey Park"
4. East side of Hull Ave.(Buffer Zone) "Jaycee Park"
5. 70 Acre Park------- "Aronson Municipal Park"
6. Marrinan Park---------------- "Lions Park"
7. Orchard Lake Beach----------- "Orchard Beach"
8. Orchard Lake Park------------ "Orchard Lake Park"
9. Area Near Under Pass--------- "Lakeside Park"
10. Crystal Lake Area------------ "Oak Shores Park"
11. Valley Park------------------ "All Parks Named After Valleys"
3. Park Reports:
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Lovelace to lease Tillges property adjoining
Hershey Park thus enabling the park feasible for little league, Motion
carried.
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Lambert to accept lot 9 and $1,000.00
in lieu of land shortage to enable Jackson Heights acceptable for park
donation. Motion carried.
