Present Jones, Taft, Pelach, Freidges Nelson, and Lambert A committee from the Junior Chamber of Commerce met with the Parks Recreation Commission. They brought up the fact that they are interested in seeing the land south of Antlers Park used as park area and that they would see what they could do to obtain this area. They were informed that P R C had already talked to Mr. Clay concerning this area and that he would be willing to donate this land, however there were certain stipulations that the Park Commission could not take action on. The J.C.ts also said that they were interested in working with the Commission in the developement of park lands. Their immediate project would be the land across from Ericksons. This piece of land measures approximately 135 feet wide by 900 feet long. They will draw up some sketches of their proposed park improvement and would meet jointly at the sit'CL August 20th.
