Dave Olson presented the planning report. He explained that the
replatting of this area is being requested to reflect the property lines that
were adjusted with the City's construction of Market Plaza and to
combine several parcels that exist within the multi- tenant retail buildings
owned by Metro Equity Management. The plat consists of three lots and
includes Outlot A, which consists of the newly constructed Market Plaza to
be owned and maintained by the City. The right of way being vacated is
the area of 208th Street between Holyoke Avenue and Holt Avenue which
is now encompassed by Market Plaza. A conditional use permit is being
requested to allow Ace Hardware to use several of the parking spaces
within Market Plaza to meet the parking requirements of the Commercial
Central Business District area.
The Planning Commission held a public hearing and recommended
approval of the preliminary and final plat, easement vacation and
conditional use permit subject to 11 stipulations. Staff recommends
