AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 4, CHAPTER 2OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY
CODE CONCERNING THE COLLECTION OF RECYCLABLE MATERIAL
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEVILLE, IvI]~TNESOTA ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. ; Title 4, Chapter 2, Section. 4-2-1 of the Lakeville City .Code is amended to
read:.
RECYCLABLE MATERIAL CONTAINER: A curbside recycling container owned by the
City or a licensed waste hauler and provided to the resident for the purpose of collection and
disposal of recyclable material.,
SECTION 2. Title 4, Chapter 2, Section 4-2-2 of'the Lakeville City Gode is amended to
read:
4-2-2: REQUIRED COLLECTION OF D MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE AND
RECYCLABLE MATERIAL:
Every household and commerciaUindustrial establishment must be under a contract for at
least .weekly collection of mixed municipal solid waste with a licensed hauler. Every
household must be under contract for at least bi-weekly collection of recyclable material. `A
household in amulti-dwelling property is considered to be under a collection contract if the
owner, association or management entity has a contract with a licensed garbage hauler.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage .and
publication according to law.
ADOPTED this 1st day of December , 2003, by the City Council of the City of
Lakeville, Minnesota.

to read:
