RESOLUTION AMENDING
THE POSITION CLASSIFICATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted pay plans from time to time to provide
for the compensation of employees in various positions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to replace the current job evaluation system
(EPEC) with the new Position Evaluation Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council will continue to adjust the pay plan from time to
time in consideration of the changes in the cost of living as measured by the U.S.
Department of Labor and market conditions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Lakeville, Minnesota:
1. The Position Evaluation Committee (PEC) will be established and charged with
the responsibility of evaluating all regular positions within the City.
2. The PEC will be comprised of the Human Resources Manager and the City's
Department Directors.
3. All recommendations of the PEC will be presented to the Personnel Committee
for their evaluation and final recommendation to the City Council.
