Resolution No. 10 -03 approving lawful gambling by the Lakeville
Hockey Association at Harry's Cafe.
Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes, unanimous.
Item 7 Designation of the Official City Newspaper
Communications Manager Sue Palm recommended the City Council
designate the Dakota County Tribune as the City's official newspaper for
2010. She explained that for many years, Thisweek newspaper had an
office in Lakeville, making it the only available option for legal newspaper
designation. That changed two years ago when the local office closed.
This year staff recommends designating the Dakota County Tribune as the
City's official newspaper because of its lower cost for legal
advertisements. In addition, the Dakota County Tribune now offers free
mailed subscriptions, making it the most easily available newspaper for
Lakeville residents.
Mr. Mielke stated that information and subscription forms will be made
available on the City's website.
10.02 Motion was made by Swecker, seconded by Rieb to designate the
Dakota County Tribune as the City's official newspaper for 2010.

Item 8 Acting Mayor Appointment

Member Rieb as Acting Mayor for 2010.
