PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
October 3, 1985
7:00 p.m.
Steve Sizer, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
in the Lakeville City Council Chambers.
Roll call of members was taken. Present: Langhorst, Walters,
Sizer, MacGibbon, Whittingham, Miller. .Absent: Cammack
Also present: Jim Robinette, Community Development Director.
Chairman Sizer called for additions or corrections to the
minutes of the September 19, 1985 p. c. meeting.
85.167. Motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the
September 19, 1985 planning commission meeting.
Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes: Walters, Whittingham,
Miller, Langhorst, MacGibbon. Abstain: Sizer
The staff indicated that there was an item left from the .public
hearing for the McCarty Re-subdivision on September 5th. that .had
not been acted on. The recommendation on the vacation of
drainage and utility easements had been overlooked.
85.168 Motion was made by Miller, seconded by Walters, to recommend to
city council approval of the vacation of drainage and utility
easements as per resolution. (copy attached).
Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes: Miller, Langhorst,
Whittingham, MacGibbon, Walters. Abstain: Sizer
In accordance with the request of Diane MacGibbon at the
previous planning commission meeting, the staff reviewed the
City Wetland Inventory, Comprehensive Storm Drainage .Plan, Lake
Marion Water Quality Study and Comprehensive Plan. Emphasis was.
on the relationship between the plans and included information
on:
a. Base line data on lake water quality
b. Ground water recharge, wetland protection, use and
modification
c. Storm drainage concepts, pipe vs open channels, storm
drainage and water quality.
d. Storm sewer area charge
e. Obtaining ponding in accordance with the master plan
f. Planning for expansion
g. Storm water runoff and downstream considerations
h. Zoning and land use considerations
