HomeMy WebLinkAbout0652 CITY OF LAKEVILLE DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 652 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 7 OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY CODE CONCERNING CERTIFIED PIPELAYERS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEVILLE ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 7-5-7-C of the Lakeville City Code is amended to read as follows: C. All connections to the water system, sanitary sewer system or storm sewer system shall be performed by a plumber licensed to do plumbing by the State of Minnesota except as permitted by rule as follows: 1. Nothing in this Chapter shall be construed to .prohibit an individual, who owns and occupies the premises or that part of the premises occupied by the worker as a residence, from obtaining a permit and installing such connection by his own labor provided, however, that said construction. is conducted under the regulations of this Chapter and the requirements of the City. 2. Nothing in this Chapter shall be construed. to prohibit an individual who completed Compilation Training and earned a Pipelaying Card approved by the Minnesota Department of Health from obtaining a permit and installing such connection by his own labor provided, however, that said construction is conducted under the regulations of this Chapter and the requirements of the City.. Persons other than Pipelaying Cardholders may assist in pipelaying so long, as there is at least one Pipelaying Cardholder in each trench where work is proceeding. SECTION 2.
