Present: Mayor Dahl Council Member Mark Bellows Council Member Kerrin Swecker Council Member Laurie Rieb Council Member Kevin Miller Also Present: Roger Knutson, City Attorney Steve Mielke, City Administrator Tom Vonhof, Police Chief Keith Nelson, City Engineer Dennis Feller, Finance Director David Olson, C.E.D. Director Steve Michaud, Parks & Recreation Director Chris Petree, Operations & Maintenance Director Charlene Friedges, City Clerk Additional Agenda Information Mr. Mielke provided additional information for consent agenda Items 6g and 6m. Presentations /Introductions Community & Economic Development Director Dave Olson introduced the Spotlight on Business, Malt -O -Meal Corporation. Vice President of Business Development, Paul Holzhueter, presented information on Malt-0- Meal, which was founded in 1919 and is currently the largest family - owned cereal manufacturer in the country. Chris Petree presented the May monthly report of the Operations & Maintenance Department. Citizens' Comments None CITY OF LAKEVILLE COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 7, 2010 Page 2 Consent Agenda Mr. Mielke presented a revised Pan -O -Prog schedule of events for Babe's Sportsbar & Grill (Item 6g), which includes a fundraising event in their fenced -in parking lot on Thursday evening, July 8th. Mr. Mielke presented an amended agreement with Classic Entertainment (Item 6m). He explained that Paragraph 8- Indemnification was deleted at the request of the City Attorney. 10.30 Motion was made by Swecker, seconded by Miller to approve the consent agenda items as recommended, subject to Police Department review of the revised schedule of events for Babe's Sportsbar & Grill. a. Claims for payment. b. Minutes of the May 17, 2010 City Council meeting. C. Receive Lakeville Arenas 2011 Budget. d. Receive ALF Ambulance 2011 Budget. e. Final acceptance of public utilities in YMCA Camp Streefland. f. Acceptance of improvements and final payment for Well No. 19, Improvement Project 08 -04. g. Extension of on -sale liquor license for Babe's Sportsbar & Grill to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages and live entertainment in the fenced -in parking lot on July 8 -10, 2010. h. Receive application of Sawa Japan MN Inc. for an on -sale and Sunday liquor license at a restaurant known as Sawa Japan Steak House and Sushi, 18453 Orchard Trail, and call a public hearing to be held on June 21, 2010. i. Temporary on -sale liquor license for VFW Post 210 to host Pan -O- Prog events on July 8 -10, 2010. j. Resolution No. 10 -40 authorizing the temporary closing of City streets for Pan -O -Prog events. Conditional use permit amendment to change the approved conditional use permit from major auto repair to minor auto repair for Hometown Auto Service, located at 20315 Iberia Avenue. I. Resolution No. 10 -41 appointing Deputy City Clerks for election administration. M. Performance agreements with Schiffelly Puppets, Monroe Crossing, Classic Entertainment and Paula Lammers and Cloud Nine for the Lakeville Area Arts Center. Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes, unanimous.
