HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-04-86 { Lakeville, Minnesota PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES December 4, 1986 7:00 p.m. Dennis Miller, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Lakeville City Council Chambers. Roll call of members was taken. Present: Klamm, MacGibbon, Miller, Sizer, Walters, Whittingham. Absent: Langhorst. Also present: Roger Knutson, City Attorney; David Licht, City Planner; Mira Holliday, Recording Secretary. 86.141 Motion was made by Walters, seconded by Sizer to approve the minutes of the November 25, 1986 Planning Commission meeting. Amended minutes to read on Motion 86.139 that approval was recommended for the variance for 50 Med Properties. This motion was seconded by Walters instead. of Langhorst. Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes: Unanimous. The public hearing to consider an amendment to Section 44 of the Lakeville Zoning Ordinance which concerns the Interstate Corridor District was opened. The City Attorney attested that the published legal notices were made and it is a legal public hearing. David Licht prepared an analysis of the I.C.D. operation to date. The initial proposal .was to remove residential use from the I.C.D because of concerns about having residential housing too close to the interstate and concern that residential use would conf lict with the commercial uses that the City wants in the area. Mr. Licht had not finished his analysis of the issues. 86.142 Motion was made by Sizer, seconded by Walters, to close the public hearing. Roll call was taken on the motion. Ayes: Unanimous. 86.143 Motion was made by Sizer, seconded by Whittingham, to recommend a six month moratorium on I.C.D. overlay conditional uses pending appropriate planning studies of the area.
