AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 167
BEING THE ZONIING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY pF LAKEVILLE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF TWE CITY OF LAKEVILLE ORDAINS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 167 is hereby amended to rezone from R-2, Single Family
Residential District to R-2A, Single Farr~'ily Residential District the following described
land located within the City of Lakev(le,'i Dakota County, Minnesota:
That part of the East one half of the Southwest quarter (E %Z of SW %4) of Section Twenty-nine
(29), Township One Hundred Fourteen (114!), Range Twenty (20), lying South of Chicago,
Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad right-of-way, Dakota County, Minnesota except that part thereof
described as follows:
That part of the East half of the Southwest. quarter (E'h of SW'/.) of Section Twenty>nine
(29), Township One Hundred fourteen (114), Range Twenty (20), lying South of Chicago,
Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad right-off-way, Dakota County, Minnesota described as
follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest
quarter (SE %4 of SW of Section Twenty-nine (29), Township One Hundred Fourteen
(114), Range Twenty (20), thence South, along said West line of the Southeast quarter of
the Southwest quarter (SE of SW ~ distance of 135 feet, thence East 267 feet,
thence North parallel with the West line of said East half of the Southwest quarter (E %Z of
SW %4) to the South line of said Railroadl, right-of-way, thence Northwesterly along said
Railroad right-of-way to the West tine of the East half of the Southwest quarter (E'h of
SW of said Section Twenty-Nine (29)', thence South along said West line to the point
of beginning. ALSO EXCEPT the East 363.35 feet of the South 350.00 feet of the
Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter (SE %4 of SW %4 all in Section Twenty-Nine
(29), Township One Hundred Fourteen North (114N), Range Twenty West (20W).
Also,
That part of the Northwest quarter (NW ofthe Southeast quarter (SE of Section
Twenty-nine (29), Township One Hundred Fourteen (114), Range Twenty (20), lying South and
West of the abandoned right-of-way of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad
Company, according to the Government Survey thereof, Dakota County, Minnesota.

That part of the W %Z of the SW %4 of the SE %4 of Section 29, Township 114, Range 20, Dakota
County, Minnesota, tying southerly of the abandoned Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific
Railroad right-of--way; lying southwesterly of the southwesterly right-of-way line of the Soo Line
Railroad; and lying west of a line 200 feet west of the west line of the plat of FAIRFIELD,
according to the recorded plat thereof.
Excepting therefrom the west 10 feef of the sbuth 350 feet thereof.
Also excepting therefrom that part described as follows:.
Commencing at the southwest corner of the SE of said Section 29; thence East,
assumed bearing, on the south line ofsaid SE'/. a distance of 331.00 feet to the actual
point of beginning; thence North 00 degrees 39 minutes 55 seconds West a distance of
233.00 feet; thence East a distance of 100.00 feet to a point on a line 200 feet west of the
west line of the plat of FAIRFIELD, according to the recorded plat thereof; thence South
00 degrees 39 minutes 55 seconds East on said line 200 feet west of the west line of said
plat of FAIRFIELD a distance of 233.00 feet to the south line of said SE thence West
on said south line a distance of 100.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Also,
All that part of the abandoned right-of-way of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific
Railroad in the East half of the Southwest Quarter and the West half of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 29, Township 114, Range 20, Dakota County, Minnesota, lying southerly of the centerline
of said railroad as shown in Dakota County Recorder Document No. 570089 and lying east of the
west 267.00 feet of said East half of the Southwest Quarter and lying westerly of a line 50 feet
westerly of and parallel with the centerline of the former Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern
Railway.
Section 2. The zoning. map of the. City of Lakeville shall not be republished to show the
aforesaid rezoning, but the City Clerk shall appropriately mark the zoning map on file in
the City Clerk's office for the purpose of indicating the rezoning hereinabove provided
for in this Ordinance, and all of the notations, references and other information shown
thereon are hereby incorporated by reference and. made a part of #his Ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, publication, and the
recording of the final plat for the above described property.
Adopted by the Lakeville City Council this 1St day of March, 1999.
