AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 1
OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY .CODE
CONCEF:NING .ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEVII.LE ORDAINS:
.SECTION 1. The title of Chapter 1, Title 3 of the Lakeville City Code is
amended to read:
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
SECTION 2. The terms "nonintoxicating", "nonintoxicating liquor", and
"nonintoxicating malt liquor" are deleted and replaced with the term "3.2 percent malt
liquor" .wherever they appear in Title 3, Chapter 1 of the Lakeville City. Code.
SECTION. 3. Thefirst paragraph of Section 3-1-4A ofthe Lakeville City Code
is amended to read:
"On-Sale A" intoxicating liquor license shall be granted only
to restaurants or restaurants. which are part of an integrated
hotel or motel. complex.
SECTION 4. Section,3-1-7-1A of the Lakeville City Code is amended by adding:
Off Sale 3.2 percent malt liquor $30
SECTION 5. 'Section 3-1-16B of the Lakeville City Code is amended to read:
Temporary on-sale licenses. The City Council may issue to
a club or .charitable religious or nonprofit organization. in
existence for at least three (3) -years or to apolitical
committee registered under Minn. Stat. § 10A. l4 a temporary

license for the on-sale of intoxicating liquor in connection..
with a social event within the City sponsored by the licensee.
The license may authorize the on-sale of intoxicating liquor
for not more than four (4) consecutive days, and may
authorize on-sales on premises other than premises:. the
licensee owns or permanently occupies. The license may
.provide that the licensee may contract for intoxicating liquor
catering services with the holder of a full-year on-sale. liquor
license issued by the City. The licenses are subject to the
terms, including license fee, imposed by the City. The
licenses issued under this Section are subject to all laws and
ordinances governing the sale of intoxicating liquor except
Minn. Stat. § 340A.409 and § 340A.504, Subd. 3, paragraph
(d), and the lawsand .ordinances which by their nature are not
applicable. Temporary licenses must first be approved by the
Commissioner of Public Safety before they become valid. No
more than three (3) four-day, four (4) three-day, or six (b)
two-day temporary licenses, in any combination not to exceed
twelve (12) days per year, may be issued for. the sale of
alcoholic beverages to any one organization or registered
political committee, or for any one location, within a 12-
month period, Not more than one temporary license may be
issued to any one organization or registered political
committee, or for any one location, within any 30-day period.
SECTION 6. Section 3-1-6-4B of the Lakeville City Code is amended to read:
Exact Location and Size; Transfer. Except in the case of a
golf course, licenses shall only be issued to a space that is
compact and contiguous. Each license shall be issued only for
the exact rooms and square .footage described in the
application. No license may be transferred to another person.:
or to another place without the .approval of the Council. and
without a new ..application having been filed.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and
publication.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING

OF THE LAKEVILLE CITY CODE
CONCERNING
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE-
VILLE ORDAINS:
Section 1. The title of Chapter 1, Title 3 of the
Lakeville City Code is amended to read:

intoxicating liquor", and "nonintoxicating malt li-
