RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION
WHEREAS, The City of Lakeville accepts grants and donations from
organizations and individuals to enhance the delivery of specific public safety services
such as the traffic program; and
WHEREAS, Mother's Against Drunk Driving (MADD) has offered to donate an
"Intoximeter Alco-Senser II," (serial #1098724) a portable breath testing device fairly
valued at $250 to the City of Lakeville Police Department for use in the traffic program;
and
WHEREAS, The Lakeville Police Department would like to accept this donation
for use in this program; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 465.03 requires that all gifts and donations of real
or personal property be accepted only with the adoption of a resolution of the governing
body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Lakeville accepts this donation from MADD; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lakeville and the Police
Department sincerely thanks this organization for their generous donation.
