RESOLUTION NO. 10 -97
RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT
FOR COSTS INCURRED TO SECURE A VACANT BUILDING

WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the City Council has
met, heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed special assessment costs incurred to
secure a vacant building, in accordance with Minn. Stat. §463.21.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lakeville, Minnesota:
1. Such proposed assessment No. 1277 in the amount of $2,275.08 is hereby accepted
and shall constitute a special assessment against property legally described as Lot 6, Block 12,
Donnay's Valley Park 8 th Addition, Dakota County, Minnesota, PID No. 22- 21177 - 060 -12, with a
street address of 16108 Fairgreen Avenue, Lakeville, Minnesota. The subject property is hereby
found to be benefited by the improvement in the amount of the assessment levied against it.
2. Such assessment shall be considered payable and collected with the taxes payable in 2011
and shall bear interest at the rate of 18% per annum from the date of the adoption of this
assessment resolution to December 31, 2011.
3. The owner may at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the County
Treasurer - Auditor, pay the entire assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date of
payment, to the City Finance Director. No interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid
within thirty (30) days from the adoption of this assessment. An owner may at any time thereafter
pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to
December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. If an owner decides not to prepay the
assessment before the date given above, the rate of interest that will apply is eighteen percent
(18 %) per year.
4. The City Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the
County Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of the County, and such assessment shall be
collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
