Passage of this resolution would allow the sale of assets to be sold through the Auction Masters on -line auction site. Overview Resolution Authorizing the Sale of Assets Item No. The Liquor Department is seeking City Council approval to sell a large assortment of premiums received for liquor purchases as well as other assets which have exceeded their useful life. While the Liquor Department is coordinating the auction effort, other departments have also provided assets to be sold. Items listed and described on Exhibit A of this document. All items have been reviewed and approved by the Finance Director. Auction Masters submitted the lowest commission fees and no lot fees. Estimated cost savings is anticipated to be approximately $500 on an anticipated auction of $15,000. • How are the anticipated profits from these items to be used? The net proceeds from the items sold at this auction will be deposited to the appropriate funds as shown on Exhibit A of the attached resolution Net proceeds from the Liquor dealer loader /premiums will be reviewed and appropriated by the Liquor Committee at a future date. • What is the 1998 Lazy Cycle, and how did the City acquire it? This item is being donated to the city by Deborah Standhoff whose deceased husband Roger was an avid motorcyclist, Lakeville Business owner and a member of the team that fund raised and built the Lakeville Veterans Memorial at Aronson Park. The family would like all proceeds to be placed in the Veterans Memorial fund for the upkeep and maintenance of the Veterans Memorial. A low reserve of $3,000.00 has been placed on this item.
