Proposed Action
Staff recommends the following motion: Motion to grant an on -sale and Sunday liquor
license to D & D Restaurants, LLC, d.b.a. Molly Cools.
Overview
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE APPLICATION OF D & D RESTAURANTS, LLC
FOR AN ON -SALE AND SUNDAY LIQUOR LICENSE
In accordance with Title 3 -1 -6 -2 of the Lakeville City Code, the City Council will conduct
a public hearing on the application of D & D Restaurants, LLC for an on -sale and
Sunday liquor license at 17516 Dodd Boulevard. The applicant will continue, at this
time, to operate the restaurant under the name Molly Cools.
Mayor Bellows will open the public hearing and ask the City Clerk to attest that notice of
the hearing was duly published in the City's legal newspaper. Chief Vonhof will present
the Police Department's report on the liquor license application. Mayor Bellows will
then open the hearing to questions and comments. General Manager Steven Michaels
will represent the owners, Tim and Glenn Hasse, and answer any questions that the
Council members or public may have at Monday night's hearing.

Background Investigation Process
Several automated databases are used to do the criminal background checks on these
individuals. These data bases include Computerized Criminal History, which shows
all criminal contacts. CrimNet, which shows any court related actions and weather the
individual has been detained in any correctional facility in Minnesota. Department of
Vehicle Services, which gives drivers license status and potential arrest warrant
information. And Lakeville Police Department In -House Records, which shows any
local contacts.
Summary of Findings
Database checks were performed on the above person. The subject has a valid Minnesota
driver's license.
No criminal violations that would impact the ability to obtain an On -Sale and Sunday On-
Sale Liquor License were found on the above person.
A restaurant with a liquor license occupied this space prior and the site is being operated
as the former Molly Cools under a catering permit. A new name for the location has not
been determined. No concerns regarding the site exist at this time.
Conclusion
The background investigation is complete and has revealed no issues that would prevent
D & D Restaurants LLC from obtaining an On Sale Liquor and Sunday Liquor License.
All application materials are filed with the City Clerk.
The Lakeville Police Department has no reservations to the approval of this license.
