RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION APPOINTING THE ADVISORY BOARD FOR SPECIAL
SERVICE DISTRICT NO.1
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 631 on July 6, 1998,
Authorizing Creation of Special Service District No. 1 for certain property located
adjacent to Holyoke, Holt. and Howland Avenues from 202"d Street West on the north to
210a' Street West on the south; and
WHEREAS, Section 8 of the ordinance calls far the creation of an Advisory
Board consisting of members appointed by the City Council. who are residents of the
District or owners-(or their representatives) of property within the District; and
WHEREAS, the Downtown Lakeville Business Association has submitted a list of
10 nominees to serve on the Advisory Board at the request of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Advisory Board's role shall be to advise the City Council in
connection with the furnishing. of special services and the construction, maintenance and
operation of improvements in the District; to make recommendations to the City Council
on requests and complaints of owners, occupants, and users of property within the District
and members of the public; and to review and comment upon any proposal to provide
services or impose takes of service charges within the District prior to the adoptign of any
such proposals by the City Council,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the following individuals shall
serve on the Advisory Board for Special Service District No. 1:

Greg Peterka, representing Marquette Bank Co-chair
Nancy P. Smith, .representing Gregory J. Smith, DDS, PA Co-chair
Larry Werner, representing Heritage Links Main Street Vice President
Jody Braun, ,representing. Enggrens, Inc. Treasurer
Dick Sherman, property owner
Mark Hotzler, representing Holyoke Crossing
Paul Haglund, representing Paul W. Haglund, CPA, LA
Amy Povroznik, representing Flora etc.
AnmMller, representing Miller-Hartwig Insurance
Rod. Borg, representing Get Noticed Signs & Graphics

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Advisory Board membership shall
remain in effect until expiration of Special Services District No. 1. The City Council
reserves the right at its discretion to remove members of the advisory board, with or
without cause, onto disband and terminate the advisory board before the expiration of the
District per Section 8, Ordinance No. 631.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City. Council of the City of Lakeville,
Minnesota, this 7th day of May, 2001.
