Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the Pav Equity
Compliance Report.
Passage of this motion will result in compliance with the Local Government Pay Equity
Act ( LGPEA).
O verv i ew
In 1984, the Minnesota Legislature passed the LGPEA which requires all public
jurisdictions to eliminate any sex-based wage inequities in compensation. Pay Equity
reports must be submitted to the Office of Minnesota Management & Budget once
every three years indicating continued achievement of pay equity.
The City of Lakeville is required to report by January 31, 2011 using salaries that were
in effect on December 31, 2010. The attached report summarizes this data and
indicates that we continue to maintain compliance.
Primary Issues to Consider
3 None.
