RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
CONDEMNATION OF PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of
Lakeville does hereby determine that it is necessary and for: (a) a public use and
purpose; (b) a redevelopment project known as Winsor Plaza Project; and (c) the
removal of a blighted area to acquire the property described on the attached Exhibit
"A" ( "Subject Property "); and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority has been unable to
acquire the Subject Property through negotiation with the landowner; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Housing and Redevelopment
Authority of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota:
1. That the Attorney for the Housing and Redevelopment Authority is
authorized to commence eminent domain proceedings pursuant to Minnesota Statute
Chapter 117 to acquire fee title to the Subject Property.
2. That the Attorney for the Housing and Redevelopment Authority is

• authorized to acquire all property interests necessary to accomplish the objective set
forth above pursuant to the "quick take" provisions of Minnesota Statute § 117.042.
3. That the Chairperson and Executive Director of the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to
effectuate the acquisition of the necessary property interests.
ADOPTED this 16th day of June , 1997, by the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota.

EXHIBIT "A"
The East five (5) feet of Lot Four (4); The East five (5) feet of the South
fifteen (15) feet of Lot Five (5); The South fifteen feet of Lot Nine (9);
and Lot Ten (10), all located in Block Eleven (11) of the Village of
Lakeville formerly Fairfield.
