RESOLUTION

BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority
of the City of Lakeville, Minnesota, as follows:
Section 1. Recitals.
1.01. On November 3, 1980, the Authority adopted a
redevelopment plan designated as Lakeville Redevelopment District
No. 1 and a tax increment financing plan for tax increment financ-
ing District No. 1.
1.02. There has been prepared and presented to the
Authority an amendment to the aforementioned redevelopment plan
(the plan as amended shall be referred to as "the project ") and
a tax increment financing plan for tax increment financing District
No. 2.
1.03. The Authority has investigated the facts and re-
viewed the tax increment financing plan for District No. 2 and
the amendment to the redevelopment plan, and hereby finds, deter-
mines and declares that it is necessary and in the best interest
of the City and its inhabitants for the Authority to undertake
and complete the Project in accordance with said plans.
1.04. The undertaking and completion of the Project
in accordance with said amended redevelopment plan, will result
in the accomplishment of the public purposes and objectives set
forth in Minnesota Statutes, Sections 462.411 through 462.585.
Section 2. Submission to Planning Commission The Secre-
tary is authorized and directed to submit a certified copy of this
resolution and of the amended redevelopment plan to the Planning
Commission of the City and to request the Commission to issue its
written opinion as to whether said plans conform to the comprehen-
sive plans for the development of the City, the zoning ordinance,
and any other general plan for the development of the Project area
and the surrounding area.
Section 3. Submission to City Council The Secretary
is authorized and directed to submit a certified copy of this reso-
lution, said amended redevelopment plan and tax increment financing
plan for District No. 2 and, upon receipt, the opinion of the Plan-
ning Commission to the City Council, which is hereby requested
to approve the amended redevelopment plan in accordance with Minne-
sota Statutes, Section 462.525 and the tax increment financing
plan pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 273.74.
Adopted by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of
the City of Lakeville, Minnesota, held this 30th day of Apri
1984.
