Citizens' Comments
Jim Reitter, 20690 Jutland Place; voiced concern regarding plans by Malt -
O -Meal to remove an existing conservation easement. He stated he is
disappointed that the City appears to be encouraging Malt -O -Meal to do
so. Mr. Reitter was informed that the Planning Commission will be
reviewing this matter at its February
17 meeting.
Tom Wroblewski, General Manager of Applebee's, stated he supports the
proposed Kenrick Avenue extension and urged the City Council to keep
this project in the City's 2011 budget. Mayor Bellows replied that the
project is in the City's 2012 Capital Improvement Program.
Marc Bourdeau, 20116 Homefire Way, asked the City Council to address
the issue of salaries for non -union City employees who make over $50,000,
as he feels they are excessive and out of line with the private sector.
Mayor Bellows stated City staff has been directed to present five percent
budget reduction suggestions for the Council's consideration.

Chief Meyer presented the Fire Department 2010 Annual Report. He also
presented a retirement plaque to Jim Qualley in recognition of 20 years of
service to the Lakeville Fire Department.
Brenda Visnovec presented the Liquor Department 2010 Annual Report.
Chris Petree presented the January monthly report of the Operations &
Maintenance Department.
11.08 Motion was made by LaBeau seconded by Little to approve the consent
agenda items as follows:
b. Minutes of the January 18, 2011 City Council meeting and the
January 10 and January 24 Council work sessions.
c. Renewal of tree work licenses for Ciardelli Tree & Landscaping,
Outdoor Specialties and S & S Tree Specialists.
d. City of Lakeville 2011 Legislative Agenda Policies.
Instructor agreements with Cheer America and Nordic Walk This
Way for the Recreation Department.
Ordinance No 873 amending Title 11 of the Lakeville City Code,
Chapter 102, Sections 9 and 13, concerning the ordinary high water
level for Lake Kingsley and the required side yard setback for
property abutting a lake.
Resolution No. 11 -08 and Quit Claim Deed conveying City -owned
land for inclusion in the final plat of Spirit of Brandtjen Farm 6th
Addition.
Confirm election of Bart Davis as Planning Commission Chair for
2011.
