HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 06.eFebruary 14, 2011 Proposed Action TEMPORARY ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE FOR LAKEVILLE ROTARY CLUB — TASTE OF LAKEVILLE Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the issuance of a temporary on -sale liquor license to the Lakeville Rotary Club. Passage of this motion will result in the ability of Lakeville Rotary Club to serve alcoholic beverages at the Taste of Lakeville event on Thursday, May 12, 2011. Overview The Lakeville Rotary Club submitted an application for a temporary on -sale liquor license and an application for an outdoor entertainment permit for the 9 annual Taste of Lakeville event. The event will take place at the Lakeville Area Arts Center and will include two live bands and approximately 35 food vendors. The entire area will be enclosed by a steel fence, with only one access point. The event will be restricted to only those persons of legal drinking age. No one under the age of 21 will be allowed into the event. An outdoor entertainment permit has been approved by the Police Department, pending approval of the temporary liquor license by the Lakeville City Council and State of Minnesota Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division. Perimeter security will be provided by Rotarians.
