HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-035CITY OF LAKEVILLE RESOLUTION NO. 11 -35 RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA WHEREAS, the City of Lakeville, on behalf of its Police Department, desires to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, to use systems and tools available over the State's criminal justice data communications network for which the City is eligible; WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement further provides the City with the ability to add, modify and delete connectivity, systems and tools over the five year life of the agreement and obligates the City to pay the costs for the network connection; WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota requires a resolution of the City Council to participate; WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered this matter and believe that it is in the best interests of the City to enter into an agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, for access to the criminal justice data communications network.
