Whereas Thursday, May 5, 207 7 marks the 60`" observance of the
National Day of Prayer, having been declared by
Congress in 7988 that the National Day of Prayer will fall
on the first Thursday of May each year; and
Whereas we are aware of the social and family needs in our city
and country, and it is known that inspiration and strength
are advanced through united prayer; and
Whereas the National Day of Prayer Task Force, a non - sectarian
group with no political affiliation, encourages citizens to
pray for our leadership in America, especially in the
areas of government, military, media, business,
education, church and family.
Therefore, the City Council of the City of Lakeville does hereby
proclaim Thursday, May 5, 2017, as National Day of
Prayer in Lakeville.

May 5 2011 is the 60` National Day of Prayer. I am requesting permission
holding the National Day of Prayer outside of Lakeville city hall on May 5, 2011
from twelve noon to one o'clock in the afternoon.
