HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-04-81 T0: PLANNING COMMISSION June 3, 1981
FROM: CITY ADMINISTRATOR
SUBJECT: CANCELLATION OF THE JUNE 4, 1981 PLANNING COMMISSION MEE'T'ING
Attached is, the agenda that would have been considered at the June
4 meeting. After consulting with Pat xarvey, Chairman, and David
Licht, it was decided to cancel the meeting for the following reasons.
Ltem number three would only be continued to June 18th so that a public
hearing can be opened on the rezoning of Mr.-Zak's property from
Interstate: Corridor'District and I-1 District to an R-1 zone. The
hearing has been called for June 18th.
.Item number four required Mr. Klotz to provide more information before
any further action by the City could be taken, and to date we have
not received that information from him.
Item number five, Mr. Tillges' public hearing to re-plat some of the
lots in the Viking Square Addition, has been re-set for June 18th
because he will-also need a hearing on come variances and for a
planned unit development. to accommodate his development. Therefore,
it is useless to open the hearing on June 4 and immediately continue it.
Item number six, as per the counci 's directive, the. Planning Commission
will be receving'information from the planning consultant on the pros
and cons of allowing lesser size houses in the R-3 zone we presently
have in our zoning .ordinance possibly through the issuance of conditional
use permits. That report will be presented at the June 18th meeting,
and if there is to be an amendment of the zoning ordinance, a public
hearing will then .have to be called on the matter.
For the above reasons, we believe it made sense to cancel Thursday's
meeting and this is your notification of the cancellation.
Respectfully yours,
• i/ !
