February 25, 1971
The. regular meeting of the Planning Commission ,of the Village of
Lakeville was held at<7:30'p.m.;February 25, 1971.
' Members presents. Stanley, Lau, G1ay, Dunham, Antolik, VanBellinger,
Jensen, Absent: Haglund.
The minutes of the February 11, 1971 meeting were read. Plotion by
VanBellinger, seconded by Lau to approve the minutes as read. Motion
carried.
1. The election of anew.chairman,'vice,chairman', and secretary was held.
The following were. voted in by unanimous. vote. Chairman: Robert Jensen,
Vice Chairman: Henry,Lau, Secretary: John Antolik.
2. Continuation of Public Hearing of Charles K. Irish for placing and
keeping a mobile home. Motion by Lau, seconded by VanBellinger. to
recommend to the ,Village;, Council, to grant this, permit. Motion carried.
3. Public Hearing of Dayton Kempson and Tillges Construction to_construct
and operate 'a tavern and fora Special:Use.Permit.
A. Motion: by Zau,'seconded by_Dunham to'recommend to the.Village
Council to grant building permit, and. special use permit. Motion
carried.
B. Motion by Stanley,' seconded by Lau that building be set back-50
feet of property line and 20 feet from West property line:, Motion
carried.
4. Mr. John Herkel requested information regarding xoad:easement:on Frank
Weisner property by Orchard Lake.
5. Mr.;Das Gustafson of.Valley Green Mobile`Park. Mr. Gustafson informed
the Planning Commission that. the name has been changed to Country View,
and presented proposed plans.. He also stated that he will. be in .shortly
.for building, permit and with final...plans. j
6. Mr. Ackerman,. Village Building Inspector. requested information as to why
and when the railroad crossing at Irene Street was closed. Also requested
information regarding a billboard sign owned by White .Sign. Co. located':
on Cedar Ave.
7. Chairman Jensen suggested that thee.Planning Commission meet on March 4,
at 8:00 p.m, at the Village Hall to review section X625.7 of Ordinance
X642 pertaining to signs..
Motion"by Dunham, seconded by Stanley to adjourn at 9:45 p.m. Motion
carried.
