LAKEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION
A regular meeting of the ]~akeville Planning Commission was called to order
by Chairman, Jerome Clay at 8s1~ P.M. February 27, 1969. Members present:
Clay, Ackerman, Antolik, Murphy, Sayers, and Lau. Absent: Simones and
Van Bellinger.
1. The public hearing of Ellen Bunnell for a mobile home parking permit.
The legal n~atiee showing the correct legal description is attached and forms
a permanent part of this record. Motion by $ernard Murphy, seconded by Hank
Lau, to grant the permit. Motion carried..
2. The public hearing of John Jackson to cons$~.der the rezoning of his property
to commercial-industrial. The legal notice shi~wing the correct legal des;~cription
is attached and forms a permanent part of this record. ,Nation by Hank Lau,
seconded by Bernard Murphy, to rezone this prop~,rty to commercial-industrial..
Motion carried. Jim Sorenson, the applicant, was requested by the Commission
to appear at the'next Council meeting at g:30 to ask for a variance concerning
the publication for a building permit.
3. The public hearing of Skelly Oil Company for a permit renewal. The .legal
notice showing the correct legal description is attached and forms a permanent
part of this record. Motion by Bernard Murphy, seconded by Lau, to approve
the permit subject to the county engineers approval.. Motion carried.
y.. Pete Friedges requested information on the requirements for building a road
in the area behind John Tally~s. A discussion urea held.
5. Public hearing to decide on the plotting of the Airlake area. Aiseussion
held on the problems of plotting and drainage easement, Proposal by Jerome
Clay to plot where developement is now. Proposal by Bernard Murphy to ask for
660 feet on both sides of Hamburg Road from Highway 50 to the section line
north of the airport,. Suggestion by Leonard Benson to approve. large areas
,on preliminaries and plot the small areas. It was decided on which area to
plot. The rest mould be proposed. Motion by Hank Lau, seconded by Bob
Sayers, to approve Airlake Industrial Parks proposed preliminary plan for.
the first addition. .Motion carried. Maynard Johnson and Berny Grubisch
will attend the Planning Commission meeting on March. l3 at 8:00 and the
Council meeting on March 17 for a building permit..
6. Discussion held on whether or not Jerome Clay should sign the Comprehensive
Municiple Plan. Sayers recommended that the signing be left until the next
meeting.

7. Pat Farrell made .suggestions on the following:
1. In Section 5 of the ordinance, the .fee should be more than X45.
Jerome Clay sugge$ted the fee be X25 and have the applicant take care
` of the rest of the costs,. such as publication.
2. Tn Section 2 of the ordinance, the 250 feet should be reduced. to
ZOa feet:,. which is required in the state ordinance.
3. Public hearings should be on the Council level.
4. Special use permits and variances should require a 4/$ vote. .Jerome
Clay,suggested that there be a y./5 vote to grant a special use permit
but a simple majority to remove it.
5. The sign ordinance should be passed as it stands and not be enforced.

8. Motion by Clay, seconded by Lau, to adjourn at 12:04. Motion carried.
