Chairman J. `,Antolik called ,the meeting to order at 8 FM. ~ntolik, Lutgens,
Jo jade, Hazel, Campbell, and ~snus answered roll ..call--Spande was absent. ,~l.so at
this meeting were. R. Knutson, attorney, and Dave Licht, planner.
J. Jojade asked that a correction be made in the minutes of the meeting held
7 Oct. X76, regarding Motion No. 76.139._ Mrs. Baldus does not have a separate entrance
installed, as yet.
76.146 Minutes of Oct. 7th, with the above correction, were approved upon motion by
Lutgens and Hazel voting "aye n were; ~ntolk, Lutgens, Jo jade, .Hazel, Campbell,
and' ,~smus. Motion carried.
The minutes. of Council meeting Held Monday, October 4th, were not ready at this
time for reviewal.
Present at this. meeting were J. Syron Watschke and Carl Dale. They wished to
discuss possiblities' of developing two sites of land--one of` 1,55-acre content. bounded
on the south by 188th Street, which westerly becomes Orchard Trail; the northern boundary
would, approximately, be located across Hwy 50 from G &'W Christensen Landscaping;
east and west are bounded, primarily by Hwy SU and 35W service lane. Except for the
east boundary, Hwy SU, the boundaries are jagged, as diagramed below--with RR track
curving throught emiddle.
The diagonal-lined area is the Watschxe
land. a~u is Mrs. Ella Foulxrod~ s home, and
~iBfi is _ Fishery s. Proposed roads are noted
by dashed lines. Mr. Dale said these roads
are proposed in this fashion, to enable traffic
to move freely through the development.

areas,. which they propose. to utilize to take
care of any run-off water--none will run into
~ Lake Marion--it will all be taken care of on
the: site. Mr. Dale said !ewe have. gone over and
over this thing, and it can be donee.

This area is west of the. West 35w .Service Road, north of Minn-reg Road,: and.:
immediately east of Honeywell golf course. In fact, Mr. Watschke has plans for the
two properties being readily accessible to golfers and their carts--from their homes

R• Knutson made Watschke and Dale aware of the moratorium of one year on building
on less than 10 acres, where there is no W/S available.. However, both of these develop-
ment proposals ..appear to be in the W/S available area.

Planner Dave Licht advised Watschke and Dale to file two applications for
public hearings before the .Planning Commission--one for :each of the two developmeaats
they are proposing..,
~irlarce Industrial representative, Bernie Grubbish, was present-with building
plans for J and E Mfg.. Co: This is to be located near Hwy 70, in ,~irlake be a building
of 12,0.00 q. ft., and employe l2 persons.' It is a machine and stamping. shop.,
76.147 Lutgens-:Hazel motioned 'to approve J & E Mfg Co buildingplan, subject to our
Building Inspectors reviewal and approval. of the plans. Motion carried.
~dministrater Pat McGarvey had sent a tentative ajenda for November 4th
meeting. .The items ..were read. In connection with the veterinary clinic and hospital,
D. Licht said there would be a third item for consideration--a building plan.
R: 1D zonng_classification was explained by"Planner Licht as allowing less
footage area than R-IC. It was thought that Item should precede .Item 4:
Dave Goodermont is to be asked to check into, the filling in, pulling out--
or whatever he-thinks necessary--the tanks at former ,gas tations on the corner of
Holyoke and 210th Street and former 76 station at the junction`of Hwy 5 and 35W.
Chairman ,Antolik asked M. K1otL ta-copy material from former Watschxe public
hearings and send. it to ..all members--also, . find, if ~bssble, Sept. 10, 1970 minutes,
and Council action taken, concerning building of multiple houses in Oak Shores.
Planner Dave Licht showed and explained map and material he is working an in
connection with Comprehensive Plan. There will be a small `map of Lakeville, naming`
streets, buildings, .etc. , which can be used as hand-oat material for people who ask.
• It will show directions, streets, schools, etc.--everything.
76.148 Motion by Campbell and Lutgens to: adjourn the meeting. Time 9;40`PM. Motion
carried.
