Lakeville ..Planning Commission Special Meeting
Monday,. May 5, 1975 Airlake Industria]. Park
Meeting was called to order by Chairman H. Lau. All members, Lau,
Antolik, Lutgens, Campbell, Jo~ade, Ba~~mgartner-
were in attendance, with
the exception of J. Haglund. Engineer Frigaard also present, and Building
Inspector Ackerman.
~j23 Public hearing of the City of Lakeville for conditional use permit
to construct booster station in R-3C zoning in certain number of
feet in the N6~ of the of Section T11~#, R24W, was heard.
Dens-Antolik made and seconded motion to recommend acceptance
of the proposal as presented. Motion carried.
#3~4 Public hearing of Mr. .Jens Caspersen for conditional use permit to
operate picnic grounds, boat rentals, boat launching, and signs
permits, on west. side of Lake Marion, Ni~- of SEA- of Section 24,
T114, R2lW, was heard.
J. Baumgartx~er expressed concern for swimmers in this area where
boat launching, etc., was also taking place. A letter, dated April
18th, written by Park Director S. Michaud was reviewed. It outlined
stipulations required by State Department of Natural Resources.
EnPox~ent Division, which governs this type of situation..
W. Campbell wished to know if this area would be supervised, "someone
there all the time?" The answer .was, "yes". However, it was stipula-
ted there would be no overnite camping.
Mr Alike McCoy, neighbor, wishes a curfew of some kind. Was told
there could be a limitation as to hours.
Mr. Gordo~a Lane, also present, wished to be sure it would "comply
with Dept. of Natural Resources regulations."
Motion by Lutgens to reca~nend approval of conditional use permit if
hctiurs of 6 AM to ll PM, as set forth in `City Ordinance, are followed,
with no overnight lodging, no overnight parking, and, if swimming ern
beach is allowed, the rules and regulations as outlined iri letter
frcml Park Director 3. A~i.ehaud, dated April l$th, must be followed, also
City Sign Ordinance must be followed. Jo,~ade seconded,
After di$cussion, Campbell moved to add the following admendment:
"state that no specific hours as to boat rentals, but parties, picnics.,.
etc., must coanply with hours as set forth in City Oid.inance." Antolik
seconded.. Motion carried.
Voting following on the original motion by Lutgens, 2nd by Jo3ade,
..motion carried.
Motion to adjourn this ffieeting at 7:~5 P.M. by Antolik-Campbell. Motion
