Ryan, engineer R. Rosene FORMAT: 1. Discussion with Mr. James D. Cory of his plans for leasing former auto auction barn on Co. Rd 64 and b~, near 3~W, and turning it into an ice arena. He was :advised h® requires a conditional use permit; he should also bring with him a plan for adequate parking, 2. Motion No. 384-.Recommendation to approve .building permit for Natural Pipelines, Mr Roger YanVeldhuizen, was withheld until he furnishes plans i'or Marton metal pole -barn... Location is to the rear of his yen=gore property on Hwy 6,5, near Hwy 70 , & 3SW. 3• Motion. No. 38,~'was to recommend approval of building plans of Aeromat, Inc., Arlake Industrial nark. 4. MotlOn No. 3136 was to recommend approval of fence ordinance as it ,is written. Motion No. 387 was to hold 'a discussion hearing on Oct. 16th, 'beginning at;d:30 PM, with anyone who is interested and would care to appear--if this iswhat Council had in mind. Ryan discussed their maps and ideas of Urban ;Service Area Concept _ Plan for City of Laxevlle with "the Planning Commission.' Besides the maps, ylanner ~an~s August 11th report on .policies .which might be considered in the-Plan, were considered. Lutgens on Uct. 14th LAKEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES TIiURSDAY SEPTEMBER 2,5..1975 MUNICIPAL &JILDING - AIRLAKE PARK The me®ting began at b pM with Lain, Lutgens, Antolik, Campbell, and Jojade answering roll call..... Baumgartner was absent. ..planner S. Ryan present. Engineer Rosene came later in the ..evening, at 9:30 PA4. The-minutes of meeting held Sept. 11th were read. Lutgens-Antolik moved to approvetheminutes as read." Motion carried. Mr. James D. Cary discussed with the Commission members, his plans ..for leasing the auto sales barn at corner of Hwy 65 and 64, fram Jactcson and Carroll, to be used for ice skating. He would like this operation to be fz~om pct. lst through March 31st. ge would fix the building to the minimum, then rent ice for both hockey and pleasure skating. K. Lutgens wanted to know if there would be any heat. Mr. Cory said he planned on heating some small. dressing at the front. of the building. The building is 2v0~ x 7p~; the ice will be 185 x b5~; .standard hockey. rinks .are 200 x $5~. Planner Ryan „believes it is p. K.r~. Outside Satellite facilities will be provided. J. Haglund wanted to know about parking. There is 35 feet on each side of~ building, according to Mr. Corry--with good possibility of getting any more which . is needed. H. Lau questioned about insurance. Planner will check with neighboring munici.- palities to see what is required. Section 19.22 of Ordinance 42 ,states that. skating requires a cantitional use permit. Mr. Cory' was ask~i to bring a plan of adequate parking` when he comes again for a public hearing. ~ Mr. Roger yanyeldhuizen, of Nature]. Pipelines, appeared. asking approval of his idea of a Morton pole barn to be constructed on SE corner of-their ten acres., loca- ted on corner of Hwy t4 and 65, near 35W. This building will measure 3U~ x-56~ and be us®d to stare small construction equipment. The building will be of metal, 14~~high sidewalk, built below grade. ;Mr. yanyeldhuizen did not have building plans because the plans they had been furnished were considering a 25-1b. roof load,. instead of the required ~FUab. ~3~4 Motion by Haglund-Jo~ade to table recommending approval of building permit for Morton metal polebarn for Natural Pipelines, corner of $wy 6~ & 64,.until building plan: is available.- Motion carried. #3~5 Motion by Haglund-Campbell to recommend approval.. of building plans of Aeromat, Inc., Grenada Av., Airlake Industrial Park. Motion carried. Mr. R. Gruobish presented the'.plans for Aeromat, ?nc. This building is to be 12,000 sq ft in area and located. on 2.2 acres,. dealing in plastics. #3S6 Motion by Antalik-Jojade to recommend approval of fence ordinance as it is written. Motion carried. The above motion was made to comply with Councils directive in their Sept. 2nd meeting minutes, #75.5941 no one came to this meeting , no one of the petitioners. ~1~ [ LAKEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES 9/25/75 PAGE 2 In regard to following Councils directive ?5.464 of July ?th meeting minutes, to hold informal discussions re sites for new city hall, the following motion was made,'--if this is w~iat Council wished P. C. to do. ~3b7 Motion by Antolik-Lutgens to hold discussion hearing on pct, 16th, beginning at os30 PM, with anyone who is interested, to consider possible. building sites for new city hall. Motion carried. The above motion will be published as an agenda item for October 16th meeting and it is hoped can be given some further publicity in the newspapers, as well. Mr. Hob Rosene came at 9=40 FM, following anottaer meeting, and explained and spoke on a gstban Service Area Concept Plan for City of Lakeville. He had also drawn a map, He stated that he believed it should ~maxmitize the use of trunts sewers we haver. He re-stated that holding ponds are able to control the problem of run-off water. Huth Planner and Engineer would like to utilize- thoroughfare plan, particularly in north central-I,axeville, l~5th St vicinity. Policies outlined by Planner Ryan in his August 11, lyj5 report on Urban .Service Area plan were discussed. J. .Baumgartner will read Planning Commission minutes to Council on Cct. 6th; K.
