Lau with Lau,.AntoliK, Lutgens, Haglund, Campbell, .and Jo jade answering roll call. Baumgartner was absent. The minutes of .,the meeting held Ocher 3uth were read. ..Campbell anal Lutgens moved and seconded a motion to approve these minutes with the correction of the time in the last paragraph. to read ~ t3; 30 PM' and not, y ; 3u H~+I. Motion carried. Mr. ,,penny Dunham presented plans of a metal-storage .building he would. like to construct on his property lying east of Hwy 35W, in the 2.15th St area. The walls will be .colored on top .and side. ~3y1 Campbell-Lutgens made motion to approve the building plans. .Motion carried. (D. Dunham. is to present them at Council meeting on J)ec. let) Mr. R. Skelton, idW Aggregates, was the applicant at a public hearing for :variance necause of the height of his machinery. The property on which this is situated is in the northern, eastern, corner of Latseville, Section I. Questions asked, were; how noisy, (I have no close neighbors, no neighbors . at all); is there a dust problem, (no); why, (they are washing gravel, its pretty wet). Mr. Dave Licht, Planner, stated his opinion that this does not need a variance, because the actual height of the equipment which, is above grade, is not more than },y-feet.. ~ubl~.c X392 Haglund-Jo jade .made motion Nregarding tae/ caring of NW Aggregates, Inc. it is the Commission's recommendation that the applicant does not need a variance as to height, because the actual height of equip~aent above grade is only thirty-five feet. Motion. carried. Applicant Skelton was advised to come to Council meeting on December Ist. #393 Haglund-Lau made m©tion, "in conjunction, (with above motion), it is the Planning Commission recommendation that they be able to move their electrical building to the new location.`" Motion carried. Planner is asked to work on a height recommendation for situations such as this. Recess of fine minutes was taken. H. Lauand J. Haglund presented letters of resignation. Letters were read. (Mayor and Council were part of the audience.) Points of differences were:.. Home Occupation Ordinance said to have been initiated with Planning Commission, when it was a work directive Pram Council, Sign Ordinance differences,. same with Fence • Ordinance Amendment, Kraus-Anderson development in a waterway, no attendance at public hearings before Planning Commission, to speak of, but Council is mobbed, and deficit spending. Mayor answered, "believe the similarities are greater than the differences", and, Zaun, "wish time to work on rewponse". Planner Licht informed the meeting that a Planning Management .Study had been authorized, which he felt would aid in communea- tion. M.
