AUGUST, 2011
August 2 – Night to Unite Kick-off; 100 people attended the event.
August 9 – Horizon Day Care Carnival; 40 children attended the carnival and had a great
time playing the fishing booth, sucker wheel, cookie walk, pick the boat, knock down the
cans and football toss. They all went home with prizes after a hot dog lunch. The
seniors had as much fun as the kids!
We had good turn-outs for our two motorcycle rides. They finally had good weather.
The Health Angels biking club had its annual ride with the grandchildren.
We had a substitute fill in for our Tender Care For You foot care, as Tender Care had
not received their business license yet, due to the state shut-down in July.
