Haglund and Lutgens moved and seconded to approve. the minutes of the .Feb.. 28th

146. Mr. Art Leibfried was present and showed and explained his site plan for
both Phase I and Phase II of proposed Highview Shopping Center to `be located
on ap~aroximately ~-acres of Land on`Hwy $U ne:~t to HThe l~lacen restaurant.
Mr. Lebfried had had Commission°s approval of what is now Phase I an Dec,
1973• Since that time there had been a question about sufficient parx.in, and
plan. of parking. Haglund's opinion. was that.-the separate garage should become
parking space--Lau would like to see combined driveways or exits onto Hwy ~0;
the-State Hwy Dept has been contacted by Mr. Leibfried about exits but has not
been heard from at this time. Lau made motion, to approve revised plan of Phase
I of Highview Center, dated-March-8, 1974--to take, the place of plan dated
Inc. 21, 1973,.: which had had ~uncil approval--also would like to have one of the
driveways shared with "The Place", Campbell seconded. Upon further discussion
Lau withdrew his motion to further add "the steel garage building would not be
nuilt~'. 7aun seconded the completed motion. Motion carried.

147. The applications for special and conditional use permits--Art Pettis, John La
;~.~-c Favor, and Ac~i"arius Swimming .Pool Co:--were tabled to March 28th when applicants
would come to the meeting, motion by Lutgens, second. by Zaun. Motion carried.
r~i,..ecton of officers for present year was. held. Nomination of Henry Lau for-
Chairman was made by Joel Haglund--2nd earl Lutgens. Motion made and seconded that
nominations cease. .Lau elected unanimously.
Joel Haglund was nominated for Vice-Chairman by Antolik, 2nd by Lutgens. Motion
made and seconded that nominations .cease. Haglund elected unanimously.
:John Antolik was noznanated farsecretary by Pius, 2nd by Lutgens.. Motion made
anc~seconded that nominations cease. 'Antalik elected unanimously.
There was a discussion about additions to city ordinance concerning;fire safety
measures and regulations. Lau, Haglund, Zaun,'and Brandes volunteered to obtain.
information from what other cities volunteer departments are doing.
City ordinance does not have st3.pulatians governing abandoned buildings. Pikes
-and.Antolik volunteered to obtain infoxmation«
Motion by Zaun and Haglund to adjourn the meeting at 10 FM. Motion carried.
