l MINUTES OF THE LAKEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION THURSDAY FEBRUARY 22 1973 Meeting was called to order by Chairman Lau at 8 P.M. Members present and answering roll. were Dunham, Lutgens, Lau,'Antolik.` Brander also came. Minutes. of the February 8th: meeting were read. Lutgens and Antolik moved' and seconded ;to approve the minutes. Carried. 1._ Public `hearing, variance to height of sign on building at Chart House, Co.'Rd 44 and Hw_y S, was heard: "Ship on Roof" sign is proposed to be 39 feet 'above building. It-will be lightweight and decorative. The State Inspector is now aiding Mr. Ray Evans in this concept. Antolik made • the:"motion to grant approval of variance to height of sign, subject to both the State and Lakeville Building Inspectors' approval. Lutgens seconded.. Carried. The .Commission was also told of a ''lighthouse" sign which will he at the end of, Chart House Drive on Co. Rd 44 This sign .will not be over the .approved height of 25 feet. Lau'motoned to approve' "lighthouse" sign, Dunham seconded, carried. 2. Public-hearing on final plat of'Wildwood Ponds was heard. This property is on`Hwy 64 west of:35W, known as Bab. Clark's. Lau made the motion'to approve the final plat of WildwoodPonds lst Addition, with-the addition that the areas for public use and park land be designated. Dunham seconded. Carried'. 3. Decision of tabled February 8th public hearing on re-zoning from Rl-C to R-2 (double bungalows) of part of Woodbury Plat, National Capital Corp.,. was made. Woodbury is located "W 2 of'NW_~ of Sec 9 T114N, R20W"/' Antolik made .recommendation to deny re-zoning because no'study forwater and, sewer here. Dunham seconded. Carried.- Lau gave his reasons for voting-to deny ..:because. there is no way at present for taking care of surface water, plus the land is not good enough, drainage-wise,-for con- gested-sewer. Lutgens voted to deny because there is 'a study on this particular area which is being made by thee. Conservation Service and>he • wants to wait until this 'is available. Dunham also agreed with these reasons.: • 4. Public hearing for Woodbury Flat (preliminary plat) was heard. Land des- cription is the same as above Item 3. Brander made motion to deny approval of preliminary plat because "we are waiting for a complete study. of water and -sewer in thee-:area". Dunham seconded. Carried. Lutgens' reason for voting to' deny ,was °'there are` no prospects for' water and sewer here." Others appearing'befor~ the Commission, informally, weres` Mr. Fred Fredrickson. wishes to takeout a pole building located on his property on 215 h St south of school. He wishes to build a wooden one in its place'. This is 1' ocated 100 feet back from xoad. Antolik would like to see plans for front elevation of huilding. Mr. Frederickson was asked: to bring plans to-Mar. 8th meeting. Mr Glenn Klotz inquired about possibilities of re-zoning a 25-A tract of land.' at Orchard Lake. _This land is across. the road and N of Queen Anne Court, :also W of RR tracks. He would be interested in changing the zoning from B4 to residen- tfal.
