HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-08-73 MINUTES OF THE LAKEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION THURSDAY MARCH 8, 1973 Meeting was called to order by Chairman Lau. Members present were: Dunham, Lutgens, Brandes, Lau, Antolik, and VanBellinger. (Haglund absent) Minutes of the February 22nd meeting were read. Motion to approve by Antolik, seconded by VanBellinger--motion carried. 1- Mr.Fred Fredrickson presented plans for a proposed addition and re-modeling of his building located on 215th St., close to the school. Motion to-.approve the plans for a building permit,_subject to building ;inspector's approval, was made bj~ VanBellinger. Second by Brandes. Motion carried 2- Public hearing. was held for final hearin on Dakota Land Development Co., Inc. 5th Addition. Plat. This land is located "that. part of the SE a of Sec 7, T114 N, R 2UW." Mr. Bob Laddesau was present... Antolik made the motion to approve plat of Dakota Land Develop. 5th Addition. Second was by Brandes. Motion carried. 3- Oak Hills developers, Mutual Capital Corp., were present to discuss their plans for land located on 178th St. W., close to Ipava Av. They plan to apply for a legal hearing for next meetin, March 29th.. 4- Representatives of Manders Diesel Repair, Inc. were present with building plans --building to be constructed on land,North border, 215th St, West border, Old State Hwy 65. Motion by VanBellinger to approve Manders' plans for a building permit, second by Brandes. Carried. 5- Mr. Don Hill presented plans for re-modeling and a 40' x 50' addition to Hill Oil Co. property on Holyoke Av. close to Tasty-Freeze. Brandes made the motion to approve the plans for a building permit VanBellinger seconded... Carried. 6 Tabled preliminary hearing. from. February 8th on plat known as Kingswood Estates, approximately 24 A, at Orchard Lake, was discussed. No further information from Engineer Frigaard has been received by the Commission. Lutgens made motion to ap rove preliminary plat of Kingswood Estates, subject to Engineer's approval. Brandes seconded. Carried. 7- Mr. Paul Krause presented .plans for property at Orchard Lake, bordering Co. Rd 5, that was re-zoned to R-1C, Jackson Heights, 2nd Addition. A group of between 15 and 20 interested Lakeville Hills' residents were present, discussing question of parks and their location, in this neighborhood.. Water and Sewer Committee, and Park and Rec Committee will need. to look into the matter. 8- Mrs. Dayton Kempson was. present to discuss possible sub-dividing her 3 A on7;Xonia Ave. and 185th St. in Maplewood Estates. Brandes will; view the property for the Commission. 9- Planner Lee Starr presented and discussed his findings on property at Orchard Lake which Mr. Glenn Klotz wishes to re-zone from commercial to residential. (Special meeting will be held Monday, March 12th, 7:30 P.M., legal hearing.) Mr. Starr says that under no circumstances should there be any other drainage ,on this property, except toward the .front (south).. He also recommends large-sized lots, only--a zoning of R-1A, instead of R-1C. Other information he had was that survey on Valley Watershed will be ready by next meeting, March 29th.
