All members were present--Lau, Haglund, Antolik, Brandes, Lutgens, and Dunham.
The meeting was called to order at $:00 P. M.
Antolik and Brandes moved and seconded to approve the minutes of the
May 31st meeting.
64. Public hearing of Rosalie Peterson for placing and keeping mobile home on
172nd St and Highview Av, (2 acres), was heard. Mr. and Mrs. Charles G.
Drinkwater are interested in buying the property and building a home, but
wish to live in the mobile home while building. Haglund made motion to
grant permit in both Peterson and Drinkwater names, for placing and keeping
mobile home on NW ~ of NE Sec 8, T114, R20. end was by Antolik. Motion
carried.
65. Public hearing, Elizabeth M. Seely to operate home for boys at 17299 Flag-
staff Av was heard. Mrs. Seely states that she has a state permit to
operate a home for boys, she is allowed eight boys, presently has six--never
has had more than six. Dakota County Probation Officer Rowe was present and
spoke in behalf of Mrs. Seely,--as did neighbor, Evelyn Janeski, In opposition
to operation of the home appeared Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jensen, Mr;f. and Mrs. Art
Pettis, and Mr. Maynard Johnson. Mrs. Seely stated that she has a $2Q0,000
liability policy on her home. Haglund commented that he would like to see a
set of ground rules to govern this home and that he would like to visit the
• property. Dunham made the motion to table a decision on this hearing until
next meeting, June 28th. Haglund seconded. Motion carried.
Discussion of letter concerning possibility of amending zoning and sub-
division ordinances in an effort to correct certain sewer and water problems that
exist in the Village. Letter was written by Mr. Patrick A. Farrell to Lakeville
Planning Commission, dated June 11, 1973. A copy of this letter is being forwarded
to each Commissioner with these minutes, and a copy is filed with these minutes.
Action will be taken at next Planning Commission meeting, June 28th.
