. Members answering roll were Lau, Dunham, Lutgens, Antolik, Brandes,
and VanBellinger. Haglund was absent. Meeting was called to order at 8 PM.
Brandes and VanBellinger moved and seconded to approve the minutes of the
November 29th meeting with the addition to Item No. 115 that Dunham had
seconded the motion to approve conditional use permit for Marcy's Ceramics.
Motion carried.
120. Public hearing application to re-zone R-1C to I-1B, limited industry
district, land located in Sec 12, T114, R20, NW'-g of .the NWT. CSAH 31 &
170th St W., by Central Telephone Co., land content = 20 acres.. Mr. Cox
representated the Telephone Co. and said they will plan on building in
1975; it will be a wire center, the 6th one in the area--no intention of
doing any customer service here. Mr. Lee Starr's summary recommendations
concerning this matter in a letter to Henry Lau were discussed. (A copy
of the letter is on file with these minutes.) Mr. John Erickson of Metro
Associates asked if feeling is adverse to the re-zoning at this time.;:. what
time measure had to be waited before the matter can be brought up again?
Chairman Lau's opinion was that the Commission should have the plan of the
building before voting on re-zoning. Brandes made the motion, Lutgens 2nd,
to table this matter to the 10th of January. Motion carried.
121. Application of Central Telephone Co. for conditional use permit for-outside
storage on land described in Item 120, public hearing, was also tabled until
the 10th of January on a motion by Dunham, seconded by Brandes. Motion
carried.
• Mr. Fairholm and Mr. Mayfield were present and wished Commission's opinion
on their ideas of a land development plan. for ten acres on south end of Sec 36
along 35W and "old" Hwy 65,--private industrial park.. The cul-de-sac was too
long--700'--as Ordinance states should be limited to 500'. They were advised
that a pudic hearing, if they should seek a variance, requires ten days notice.
Members were furnished with copies of up-coming hearings for the 27th of
December .
VanBellinger and Lutgens moved and seconded the motion to adjourn. Carried.
Jahn Antolik will read the minutes at the Council meeting January 7th.
Meeting adjourned at 10 p.m.
